It is required for video cameras like vehicle or surveillance cameras that clear images are always obtained even under tough conditions. This paper presents a camera control algorithm for improving visibility of images by real-time detecting objects with high intensity over saturation level of an image sensor and reducing whiteout with high responsibility. The developed algorithm was implemented in a surveillance camera and confirmed that improving visibility in scenes which high intensity objects moved frequently was realized. |
