[Invited Lecture] Design Method of Meta-Surface for Realizing Perfect Magnetic Conductor

(in English) This paper focuses on an AMC (Artificial Magnetic Conductor) composed of FSS (Frequency Selective Surface) and ground plane, and describes the ideal filtering characteristics for realizing PMC (Perfect Magnetic Conductor). The ideal filtering characteristics is derived by the condition for realizing PMC in any frequency using the relational expression between the filtering characteristics of the FSS and the PMC characteristics of the AMC.
As the result, it is clarified that the ideal filter is band pass filter. Here, it is shown that the optimum distance between FSS and ground plane is a quarter wavelength of the band pass frequency. On the other hand, it is found that the phase rotation direction is opposite to the conventional band pass frequency. Moreover, the unit cell structure using the ideal negative permeability material is examined. The filtering characteristics close to the ideal filtering characteristics and it is found that there is possibility of realizing the ideal filtering characteristics.
