Mixed-mode $S$ parameters can be used to quantitatively the generationn of the balanced and unbalanced modes on the asymmetric antennas under test with balanced feed, and can be estimated by measuring conventional $S$ parameters between two ports disposed on the antenna.So far, it has been clarified that $S_{dd}$ and $S_{cc}$ corresponding to the reflection coefficients of the balanced and unbalanced modes, can be evaluated by one-port measurement using a $180^circ$ 3dB hybrid coupler.In this report, it is revealed in principle that $S_{cd}$ which corresponds to the coupling coefficient between the balanced and unbalanced modes, can be evaluated by one-port measurement using a $90^circ$ 3dB hybrid coupler, for balanced feed antenna such as dipole antennas, folded dipole antennas. |
