Improving Performance of DS/SS IVC Scheme based on Location Oriented PN Code Allocation by Restricting Communication Distance and Enhancement of Mac Protocol

(in English) In this paper, the performance of inter vehicle communication (IVC) is evaluated when direct sequence spreads spectrum (DS/SS) communication using slotted ALOHA for the MAC protocol is applied. When the DS/SS scheme is used, the influence of hide terminal problem doesn’t occur. On the other hand, the near-far problem, multiple access interference and inter-symbol interference occur as a problem. In order to solve theses problem, successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme, restriction of communication distance and enhancement of MAC protocol are used. By performing SIC, the influence of near-far problem and multiple access interference are reduced. However, the inter-symbol interference still remains when the communication distance is longer or the GPS positioning error occurs. In these cases, by performing enhancement of MAC protocol, the probability of inter-symbol interference is reduced.
