| (in English) | Accidents on vessel traffic are mainly caused by human errors of insufficient watching. It is expected to realize auto watching system by computer vision which recognizes other ships. The camera on ship is affected by the swing of ship body. Therefore there is a need to stabilize captured images. Due to the long processing time by software processing, a hardware acceleration by FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) is studied. There is a problem that the design productivity of an FPGA is low. We discuss HW/SW co-processing method which only accelerates the time consuming tasks with hardware processing, processes remaining tasks with software. | |
