Effect of the light irradiation brings to the bacteria has been reported. For example, the sterilizing effect is obtained by the ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. Bacteria is known that they have photoreceptors in the visible light irradiation. Thus, it seems that effect of light irradiation depends on their wavelength. In this study, gene expression analysis was performed against Vibrio parahaemolyticus in order to elucidate the effect of the difference in wavelengths. As a result of them, Flagellar migration function of Vibrio parahaemolyticus was activated when it was irradiated with light of 520nm in wavelength. |
