A Linear Sliding Type Phase Shifter using Metamaterial Ridged Waveguides and its Application to Phased Array Antennas
Hideki Kirino, Koichi Ogawa (Univ. of Toyama) AP2014-55
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A linear sliding type phase shifter using Metamaterial Ridged Waveguides and its application to phased array antennas are proposed. The proposed phase shifter has advantages of simplicity and ability which can construct phased array antennas smaller than that we proposed before. The proposed phase shifter is explained with respect to its structure and characteristics which have more than / for phase shift, less than 0.05dB for loss and less than -20dB for input reflection. Furthermore, a structure of the phased array antenna using proposed phase shifters and its beam controlling characteristic are explained. Finally some applications employing proposed phased array antennas are shown.
