| (in English) | Data centers are now widely used, and their sizes and numbers are increasing due to the rapid spread of cloud computing. Meanwhile, the cost of man-powered operations occupies most of the operating cost in data centers. We examined actual operation management in data center services and revealed that the design of operational procedures including the composition and modification of operation checklists was time-consuming because they were individually and newly composed for every system. Therefore we have proposed supporting method that improves the efficiency of checklist composition and modification by utilizing reusable operating procedure components. In this report, a method that extracts reusable procedure components from checklists that have already been composed and utilizes the components in creating not-composed checklists, is proposed. The evaluation result with actual checklists used in a data center showed that the number of checklist composition steps was reduced by 25%. | |
