[Poster Presentation] Distributed Cooperative Control for Speedy Coverage in Mobile Sensor Networks

(in English) In recent years, mobile sensor networks have been expected to realize environmental monitoring and ecosystem monitoring. It is desirable that mobile sensors autonomously cooperate with each other in a distributed manner such that they can cover important locations in the target area. Game theoretical approaches have been attracting many researchers to achieve such distributed cooperative control. In the game theoretical approaches, we need to design a game model and a learning algorithm. The game model should be designed to enhance the accuracy of coverage in steady state. The learning algorithm should be designed to lead the system to appropriate steady states, independent of initial states. In this paper, we propose a learning algorithm where mobile sensors efficiently explore the area by sharing their search histories and speedily move to their appropriate locations. Through simulation experiments, we demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve high accuracy of coverage even when each mobile sensor explores a limited range of the entire area.
