Development of Surface Electromyography Technique Utilizing Stochastic Resonance in A Nonlinear Device Network

(in English) Toward easy-to-use electromyography (EMG) device, we investigate to apply stochastic resonance in a nonlinear device network to high-sensitive and stable surface EMG detection. We use GaAs-based nanowire FET, which has abrupt switching characteristic, for the nonlinear device. We confirm that stochastic resonance successfully occurs on the surface EMG using the nanowire FET. We also demonstrate higher signal-to-noise ratio using stochastic resonance in a nanowire-FET network as compared with the previous techniques.
