Fundamental Considerations on S Parameter Estimation for Two-Port Reciprocal Network Using Sliding Short

(in English) A method to estimate gain by irradiating antenna under test (AUT) with electromagnetic wave from transmitting antenna and measuring reflection coefficient at port of the transmitting antenna is known.
For small reflection from AUT, this method is so inaccurate that it hardly used.
Recently, a modified version for above method is published to estimate the gain, in that three reflection coefficients are measured by connecting three different loads to a port of AUT.
In this report, a novel method to estimate $S$ parameters of two-port network device using more than three loads is proposed for achieving one-port measurement to obtain gain by irradiating the antenna.
And, it is examined by replacing free space with two-port devices, for example, coaxial cable, band-pass filter and step attenuator.
