Updating Method of Control-metric Information for Relational-metric Based Operation in Communication Networks

(in English) People sometimes want to send a message only to someone who is interested in the content of the
message. However, e-mail services, which have been recognized as the de-facto standard for years, do not have such capability, though a couple of emerging messaging applications such as those used for micro-blogging have it. To tackle the problem described above, in-network messaging systems have been proposed. They are such systems that dynamically control the recipients of messages depending on the context of the messages. To control the reachability
of contents based on the context, relational metrics have been used. Relational metrics can be represented as a graph in which each node could be a social object such as person, location, content, each link be a direct relation between two nodes, and the weight of link be the strength of relationship. This graph is called relational graph. This paper discusses how to maintain and update relational graphs. Since relational graphs are produced from physical and online sensing data, the number of links and nodes in a relational graph could become huge as sensing data
increase. Therefore, it should be discussed how to remove unnecessary links and nodes in a graph without searching all links and nodes in the graph. This paper proposes and evaluates a novel link deletion method, which uses the characteristic of the centrality in the graph structure.
