Spike Data Analysis by Weighted Directed Graph Modeling

(in English) With recent developments in multielectrode recording technology, neural spike data can be obtained from a brain.
It is expected to understand the mechanism of information processing in a brain by analyzing these neural data.
It is consider that a brain processes information by neural cooperative activity.
In order to analyze neural data, the method that can take into account of neural cooperative activity is desirable.
Since neural connections are asymmetric and have different connection strengths, it is required that the method is able to represent these features.
In this paper, neural connections are represented by using the weighted directed graph,
and a state that a lot of neurons affect each other is modeled. Then a method for estimating graph structures is proposed.
Experimental results using artificial neural spike data show that the proposed method is able to estimate weighted directed graph structure.
