| (in English) | Analyses on contents of soccer videos are expected to be useful for editing digests and improving strategy analyses. It is necessary to describe the play of each player in videos for scene search supporting. In addition, strat- egy analyses from soccer videos require contents understanding focused on the play of each player. Based on these factors, focusing on the play of each player is important in contents understanding of soccer videos. Some researches recognized the play of each player using trajectories of the ball and players. However, tracking the ball is difficult. Incorrect tracking results may decrease play recognition accuracy. Therefore, We recognize the play of each player by the method used in human action recognition. We use video features calculated from videos of players. These videos containing the whole body of players, are extracted from soccer game videos. We recognize ball touches from videos of players and classify them into three kinds of play. We carried out experiments in some cases to evaluate our approach, and achieved accuracies of 60～90%. |
