Transmission Performance of QZSS Short Message Communication SS-CDMA in Rayleigh Fadaing Environment

(in English) Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) is expected to provide a high accurate positioning service and allows two-way communication which includes the terminal position information and short messages. In this paper, transmission performance of spread spectrum code division multiple access (SS-CDMA) system in fading environment is evaluated. In urban areas, it will be assumed that a transmission channel becomes one-path Rayleigh fading environment because terminals communicate with the geostationary satellite of 45 ascending vertical angles. We examined the fundamental transmission performance of one-path Rayleigh fading environment using computer simulation when the frequency and time synchronization among all terminals, and channel estimation is ideal. It was shown that can respond to movement of the users to around 12 km/h with interleave in state near accommodation rate 100 % of the full load of CDMA. Moreover, when the number of accommodation users was reduced in half from the full load, it was shown that the same performance as the PER characteristics of about 12 km/h can be obtained at the time of the movement speed of about 36 km/h.
