Multi-carrier decision-feedback differential detection employing higher order channel prediction for fast time-varying fading

(in English) This paper discusses multi-carrier modulation scheme in the presence of fast time-varying frequency selective fading. The maximum Doppler frequency is highly dependent on its carrier frequency, when signal bandwidth is similar to its central carrier frequency. Assuming a wireless environment as the above mentioned condition, this paper evaluates a multiple single carrier (MSC) modulation scheme, which transmits information using parallel single carrier modulation schemes. Next, in order to track fast time-varying fading, this paper discusses decision-feedback differential detection and proposes its simple demodulation structure for 1st order channel prediction. Finally, computer simulation confirms that MSC modulation scheme with the proposed demodulation schemes has excellent tracking performance on fast time-varying frequency selective fading channels.
