| (in English) | Running shoes have two dominant functions of shock absorbing and foot stabilization when the heal comes into contact with the ground, in order to prevent runner’s injury and fatigue. Presently, many different types of the shoes are available and their sole structures are also diversified. However, how sole structure affects functionality of the shoes is still unclear. Then we have been analyzing such relationship on an experimental basis. However, we have a problem that running speed that certainly affects functionality of the shoes has yet to be standardized. In order to solve the problem, we applied a treadmill capable of standardizing running speed into a simultaneous measurement system of the sole deformation, plantar pressure and foot pronation. Running experiments using all combinations of two different sole materials and two different running speeds demonstrated that the proposed system satisfied specifications required for shoes evaluation. | |
