Influence of tactile character width on tactile perception

(in English) The purpose of this study was to clarify the influence of tactile character width on tactile perception. The contents of the experiment was to touch the tactile character of katakana in the form of three types (Width of character 100%, 80%, and 60%), size 25mm. The subjects were ten healthy people wearing an eye mask and three visually impaired people. As the results, the percentage of correct answers, the identification time and the confidence rating did not change depending on tactile character width.
