A time domain channel estimation approach using compressed sensing for uplink OFDMA system

(in English) In uplink OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) systems, frequency domain approach is widely used for the channel estimation since the signals coming from different users are distorted by different frequency selective channels, and available reference signals for each channel estimation are limited within subcarriers assigned to the corresponding user, while it is well known that the number of parameters to be estimated can be significantly reduced with time domain approach in OFDM (OrthogonalFrequency Division Multiplexing) based systems. In this paper, we propose a time domain channel estimation approach for uplink OFDMA using compressed sensing assuming the sparsity of each channel impulse response.Numerical simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
