In Ad hoc networks including multihop transmission functions, malicious relaying nodes can steal and leak their transferred data easily.
To counter this problem, the secret sharing scheme-based secure dispersed data transfer method has been proposed.
This method requires multiple paths which are disjoint each other. The characteristics of multiple paths influence the
confidentiality of the transmited data packets and the tolerance to the packets loss.
So far, two multipath routing methods have been proposed: node-disjoint multipath routing method and multipath routing method with shared elements. Generally, while node-disjoint multiple paths are the most desirable, those are hard to be constructed at low density networks.
On the other hand, although multiple paths with shared elements also has been proposed for low density networks, it can deteriorate the confidentiality and the tolerance to the packet loss.
In this paper, we propose a new switching method between aforementioned two methods depending on the density of the networks.
We conducted simulation experiments to evaluate our proposed method.
We confirmed that our proposed method maintain a low number stolen data packets by relaying nodes
when the data packet reachability is improved. |
