Measurement of the complex permittivity for corneal epithelial cells in millimeter-wave band

(in English) We performed measurement of the complex relative permittivity for immortalized human corneal epithe- lial cell line from 33 GHz to 110 GHz using the waveguide-penetration method. We made some samples which have several volume mixing ratio because it is difficult to insert samples into glass capillary tubes which are composed of only cells. And we estimated the complex relative permittivity of cells those measurement results depending on volume mixing ratio. As a result, at 100 GHz we found that the real part and imaginary part of complex relative permittivity of cells are 8.3 and 12.5, respectively. We estimated static permittivity, high-frequency permittivity limit and relaxation time [s] by fitting the measured complex permittivity of cells. From the estimation, we found that static permittivity, high-frequency permittivity limit and relaxation time [s] are 70.4, 5.2 and 8.5 ps.
