(in English) Many papers and books were published on the topic of wireless power transfer. They conclude that power transfer efficiency is primarily dominated by coupling coefficient k multiplied by Q factor or so-called resonant kQ product. Indeed kQ product is useful when its equivalent circuit is represented by single-mode resonators, it is not always. This lecture presents a system of versatile formulas that characterizes wireless power transfer schemes in arbitrary coupling topologies. Maximum available efficiency is formulated in two-port immittance matrix domain. Index kQ is extended to general cases even where resonance or filtering model is inapplicable. The novel index, named efficiency angle θ, rigorously predicts the performance of any power transfer regime without resort to its equivalent circuit model such as coupled LCR networks. Angle θ works as a unified pilotage for lucid design of various types of wireless power transfer.
