Active memory capacity in a neural network with short-term synaptic plasticity

(in English) In pre-frontal cortex (PFC), electro physiological experiments studies have established a link between the neuronal activity and working memory that temporary holds information for processing purpose.
Therefore, many theoretical studies investigated how to implement this function on the recurrent neural networks.
Previous study propose that the working memory model with short-term synaptic plasticity can reproduce a high activity persistent state and a oscillation activity state reported by several electro physiological experiments.

However, functional difference between these activity state has not been argued fully.
Here, we study two types of activity comparatively as keeping multiple items, using working memory model with short-term synaptic plasticity.
As a result, working memory capacity by a high activity persistent state be easily influenced with background input, but by a oscillation activity state be hardly influenced with background input.
