Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In mouse primary visual cortex, it is believed that horizontal signal propagation in layer 2/3 is an important phenomenon in order to elucidate the visual information processing mechanism. Though, it is difficult to analyze dynamics of the neural network constructed by enormous number of neurons and synapses by only physiological experiment. In the present study, we constructed layer 2/3 model using bio-physical neuron model of primary visual cortex and simulated the horizontal signal propagation with changing synapse weight and the number of synapse. The network model constructed in the present study can be utilized to analyze spatio-temporal properties of propagating signals observed in sliced visual cortex.
