Reduction of Radiation Magnetic Field from Transcutaneous Energy Transmission System by 3 Phase Alternating Current -- Fundamental Study by Electromagnetic Analysis --

(in English) Transcutaneous energy transmission systems (TETS) which supply power to ventricular assist systems (VAS) has been studied. Energy transmission efficiency and electromagnetic influence on humanbody have been main study of TETS. However, magnetic field emitted from TETS exceeds the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR) pub. 11 regulation level. We proposed 3 phase TETS which has 3 pairs of transcutaneous transformers. It is driven by 3 phase alternating current to reduce radiation magnetic field. In this paper report magnetic field emitted from conventional and 3 phase TETS when they transmitted 15 W were analyzed by electromagnetic simulator based on method of moment (MoM). The results of analysis magnetic field of conventional TETS was 49.74 dBμA/m and 3 phase TETS was 19.93 dBμA/m. The CISPR regulation level at 500 kHz is 30.8 dBμA/m. In conclusion this method is effective for the reduction of the magnetic field.
