In this paper, we propose an efficient randomized consensus algorithm in distributed shared register model under an oblivious adversary.
The randomized consensus algorithm is known to be constructed by a Conciliator algorithm and an Adopt-Commit object.
In this paper, we propose a Conciliator algorithm using Multi-Reader Single-Writer(MRSW) registers.
We first show that the upper bound of time complexity of the proposed Conciliator algorithm is asymptotically equal to existing algorithms.
We also evaluate the time complexity of the proposed Conciliator algorithm by experiments.
Experimental results show that the time complexity of the proposed Conciliator algorithm is more effective than the conventional method for the same agreement probability, and therefore, obtain an efficient randomized consensus algorithm. |
