Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We have studied Japanese sign Language (JSL) recognition using via-points based on the minimum jerk model. In our previous research, we treated only JSL represented by the movement of the right arm. In this report, in order to recognize JSL represented by the movements of both arms, we investigated an integration method of the matching result of the left arm and right arm. In addition, we classified JSL into three kinds based on a correlation coefficient and difference of the moving distance in the movements of both arms. As a result of recognition experiment, the recognition rate was 98% or more in 80 words from multiple speakers.
