This paper describes the basic configuration of a mobile object-tracking system used for emergency dispatch in times of disaster, or for the transport of the physically-challenged. The system automatically determines its location, from a series of standard, ceiling-mounted LEDs, and saves the data in a dedicated recording device. Victims’ IDs, as well as the medical personal in attendance, are recorded in the device using the FeliCa-chip-equipped RFID card. After that, a specially-developed ETC (Electronic Toll Collection service) (-portable or fixed-type) receiver, can be positioned in front of hospital- or building-entrance, to collect trajectory-related data automatically. Using this system, it becomes possible to trace patients’ locations, and set door-controls, such that individuals using wheel chairs, or otherwise having special priority can come and go, at-will . |
