| (in English) | In IEEE802.11DCF for the access control method of WLAN, nodes are waiting for their frame transmission during some backoff time which is determined by selecting a random value in a range of the contention window (CW) and the value of CW is increasing in binary exponential manner for avoiding the collision due to frame retransmission. Assuming that IEEE802.11DCF is used as wireless wide area access control with a huge number of nodes, since the minimum CW, CWmin, is set to relatively small, the collision among frames of first transmission often happens and the retransmission for such frames may be repeated many times due to the limitation of the maximum CW, CWmax, thereby degrading frame transmission performance. Thus in this paper, we first show the effectiveness of the setting CW according to the number of nodes, then propose to control both CWmin and CWmax by estimating them in each node with the condition of its frame retransmission and the detection times from other nodes during its backoff time, and investigate the frame receiving rate at some node such a AP in the proposed control by simulation. |
