Dichromats cannot discriminate specific color combinations. To improve the visibility of dichromats, the techniques which focus on the light source spectrum are studied in recent years. In a previous work, the color appearance of an object for dichromats has been improved by the specific illumination. However, appropriate illumination is different by objects. In this report, the search algorithm of the optimum illumination which enables color discrimination for dichromats is proposed. In the proposed method, a fitness function which judges the appropriateness of illumination is formulated and the optimal illumination is obtained using the function and the genetic algorithm. Effectiveness of the proposed method is showed by experiments. |
