Effect evaluation of matching condition at a PIM frequency in PCB-PIM mesurements using the standing wave coaxial tube method

(in English) To make non-contact PIM-characteristics evaluation of a printed circuitboard, a technique using plural capacitive-coupled strip conductors anda coaxial tube has been proposed.
It achieved high sensitivity in PIM measurement by impedance-matching the lossy strip resonators on the PCB with the PIM tester; however, it was hard and time-consuming to cancel the characteristic unevenness of the measured sample in practical measurements because of the high Q-factor of the resonator.
In this report, in the contrast, a method to cancel the characteristic unevenness of the measured sample by tuning the examination frequency is proposed, and its effectiveness is evaluated.
