Evaluation of a One-to-Many Content Delivery System using Wireless LAN Ad Hoc Communication in High-Density Node Environments

(in English) At a time of disaster, it is important to share information such as the disaster status, recovery status, or safety information in the affected area. Recently, mobile terminals including smartphones or tablet devices are widely used and seemed to be useful for broadcasting or gathering informations in emergency. However, at a time of large scale disaster, existing infrastructures, such as 3G or LTE, may be broken. In such case, utilizing terminal-to-terminal communications by leveraging wireless LAN might be promising. Here, assuming that these communications are used in the crowded shelter, we have to consider more than 100 terminals are in the same range of wireless communication. In this paper, we discuss appropriate information sharing mechanism in high-density node environments, and evaluate it using 100 real tablet terminals.
