Fair Energy Consumption-Based Routing Control Considering Data Traffic for Mobile Ad hoc Networks

(in English) In mobile ad hoc networks (MANET), each mobile terminal, equipped with a battery with limited capacity, communicates in a distributed and autonomous manner. Each user transmits/receives two types of data, "own-data" and "other-data". From the user’s viewpoint, the fair data transmission and the fair battery power consumption are required.
This paper proposes a novel method which improves the fairness in terms of the "other-data to own-data ratio" and "battery power consumption per own-data" in MANET. The proposed method decides the route based on "other-data to own-data ratio" for achieving fairness. In addition, the proposed method uses dynamic channel assignment for saving battery consumption induced by overhearing. The proposed method is evaluated by simulation, comparing with AODV(Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector) and LBAODV(Load Balancing AODV). Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
