Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper describes basic characteristics of a system for preventing dementia based on a memory game with software agent. The system we proposed aims to provide a framework where the elderly can engage in dementia-prevention over a long period without getting boring while enjoying a variety of communication with a software agent on tablet device.
Subjective evaluations by people belonging to a local club for the elderly are conducted to evaluate usability and familiarity of the proposed system, and besides, preliminary experiments for students are carried out to discuss longterm availability of the system without imposing physical strain on the users.
