| (in English) | Recently, many commercial cloud computing services have rapidly evolved and they are used for the purpose of processing or backing up of large-volume data. Coupled with the popularization of wireless broadband network, it is expected that users will increasingly access these cloud services using mobile devices and wearable devices for the purpose of interactive communications such as remote desktop and augmented reality (AR). In many case, an interactive application uses TCP protocol between a server and a mobile device. However, end-to-end TCP sessions are easily influenced by packet losses in the wireless networks coupled with long delay of international lines, and the communication response may be degraded. To cope with this problem, we have proposed a dynamic TCP communication method to improve the response in interactive communication by dynamically changing congestion control algorithms based on changes of network quality and application characteristics. In this paper, we implement the proposed method on the NS-3 network simulator and evaluate it employing a GE (Gilbert-Eliott) model assuming that the method is applied to a Wi-Fi network. | |
