High-Accuracy and High-Speed Calculation Method for Multi-layer Network Design Problem

(in English) Multi-layer network design, which excuses both light-path and IP routing designs at the same time, has attracted attention for IP over WDM network.
The solution of multi-layer network design problem can be obtained by solving a mixed integer linear programming~(MILP) problem.
However, the MILP problem for a large-scale network cannot be solved due to huge amount of variables used in the computation.
In order to cope with this problem, we proposed multi-layer space reduction method which excludes long hops routes at both lambda-layer
and IP-layer from the route candidates to reduce computation time.
However, when applying this method in case that the traffic volume is small, the calculation accuracy is relatively deteriorated.
In order to cope with this problem, we propose a novel improvement method which introduce a light-path ring for IP routes among all source-destination pairs.
This method includes route candidates on the light-path ring for the optimization.
We evaluate our proposed method by the computational experiments and show the effectiveness of our method.
