Study on VP Transmission Schemes for Multiuser MIMO Downlink using Non-Regenerative Relay

(in English) In recent years, Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO) technology which uses spatial multiplexing for multiple users with multiple transmit antennas of base station, has been attracting much attention. This technology improves the spectral efficiency without increasing the frequency band as well as the modulation levels. In addition, there exist relay transmission schemes to expand the coverage and achieve high data rate. In this paper, on the Inter-User Interference (IUI) cancellation among the users in the proposed multi-user MIMO downlink transmission with non-regenerative relay system, we developed the weight design method using VP (Vector Perturbation) or BD (Block Diagonalization) + VP. In the BD+VP method, we removed the IUI using BD and separated the multi-streams to each user by VP. We have examined the BER characteristics and the achievable rate performance of the proposed multiuser MIMO downlink scheme using non-regenerative relay.
