A Study on Power Control Techniques considering Inter-eNB Interference for Dynamic TDD based Small Cell Networks in LTE-Advanced Systems

(in English) This paper investigates interference mitigation techniques for dynamic time division duplex (TDD) based small cell networks in long term evolution advanced (LTE-A) systems. In the dynamic TDD based small cell networks, each small cell evolved node B (eNB) can provide high traffic adaptation (TA) gains and high user perceived throughput (UPT), by dynamically applying the adequate ratio of downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) time resource according to the data buffer of DL and UL data. However, dynamic adaptation of time resource at each small cell eNB causes cross-link interference among cells as extra interferences. To solve this problem, we proposed the transmit power control method which mitigates the impact of Inter-eNB interference by reducing the DL transmit power and boosting the UL transmit power in past paper. In this paper, we propose the transmit power control which depends on the pathloss of inter-eNB, and we confirm that a higher throughput performance with low UE power is obtained than the conventional scheme.
