Cooperative Resource Control of Milimeter Wave Wireless Access via Wi-Fi Coordinator

(in English) This paper proposes a new network architecture and radio resource management scheme for broadband wireless access called Wi-Fi and millimeter wave integrated heterogeneous networks, in which Wi-Fi network takes on the role of coordinator in millimeter wave radio access to suppress inter-link interference as well as to create more robust link acquisition in millimeter wave radio links. Space-time scheduling scheme is used as a radio resource management in the proposed system.
Numerical analysis confirms that the proposed network architecture can enhance throughput performance of the millimeter
wave radio systems.
