[Invited Talk] Excitation of Surface Plasmon Resonance in Nanostructured Organic Films and Application to High-Performance Devices and Sensors

(in English) Organic films are actively studied toward the development of high-performance device and sensors. We have performed various kinds of studies about evaluation of nanostructured organic films and application to devices and sensors utilizing the excitation of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) so far. In this paper, we report high-performance devices and sensors utilizing the excitation of SPR. Organic solar cells utilizing grating coupling SPR, SPR sensors combined with optical waveguide (OWG) spectroscopy, transmission SPR sensors and long-range SPR sensors are overviewed.
