In millimeter wave CMOS circuits, a low-characteristic-impedance transmission line can be used as a decoupling device, which the authors call the 0 Ω transmission line. However, there is an inherent difficulty in characterizing it by the ordinary 2-port measurement. It is also difficult to judge whether the result thus obtained is reasonable. An attempt is made to characterize it with a different setup. The measurement results from the two setups agreed well up to 10 GHz, indicating that the results are reasonable up to that frequency. |
