Analysis of Magnetic Resonance Wireless Charging System by SPICE

(in English) Recently, the charging system utilizing a magnetic field resonance type non-contact power supply technology has attracted much attention as charging for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The technology was developed by MIT first announced at 9.90MHz, but the non-contact charging system for an electric vehicle is planned to be standardized internationally in the range from 80KHz to 140KHz. Because the part length is shorter than the wavelength in this frequency band, we have verified the magnetic field resonance type non-contact power supply system with consideration that can be analyzed using (SPICE) lumped circuit simulation tool. If the SPICE will be effective, the system can be easily developed because the modeling can be performed by just drawing a circuit diagram, and moreover, the power transmitting coil, receiving coil with peripheral devices such as an inverter can be simulated all together. In addition, we have confirmed that suppressing the resonant current (optimization of the coupling factor K) and reducing the ohmic losses as much as possible are required for improvement of the power transmission efficiency on the test experiment with the simulation by the SPICE.
