A Study on Resource Allocation for Uplink Non-orthogonal Multiple Access Based on Single Carrier

(in English) This paper proposes a resource allocation for uplink non-orthogonal multiple access based on single carrier. In the non-orthogonal multiple access, an eNB (evolved Node B) can allocate overlapped spectra to plural intra-cell users on the assumption of an interference canceller receiver. As a result, this access scheme can improve spectral efficiency by partially overlapping spectra. However, when a conventional resource allocation based on maximum throughput in a suband which is a part of system band is used to such non-orthogonal multiple access, this method cannot maximize throughput in the system band. In order to solve this problem, the proposed method predicts the transmission performance determined by all allocated subbands by using mutual information. Computer simulations show that the proposal can increase throughput performances compared to resource allocation based on transmission performance in each subband in the non-orthogonal multiple access.
