In the multi-dimensional MOC sound wave analysis, automatically absorbing boundary doesn't have efficient absorbing performance. To overcome this problem, we introduce PML (perfectly matched layer) technique for MOC simulations of acoustic fields. The purpose of this study is estimation of absorption performance of PML and evaluation of the feasibility of PML implementation for two-dimensional (2-D) sound field numerical analysis method using MOC; for example LAX method, QUICKEST method, and CIP (constrained interpolation profile) method.
Though the numerical results, we show PML implementation can be effective method; the oblique reflection from boundaries can be reduced, although it requires more computational cost (memory and calculation time). |
