Bidirectional Matching Technique for Tx and Rx Arrays in Short-range MIMO

(in English) In this report, bidirectional matching technique for Tx and Rx arrays in short-range MIMO system is proposed. This proposed technique is realized by taking following two steps. As the first step, by connecting 180-degree hybrid couplers to plane-symmetrically configured MIMO system, ports at both sides of Tx and Rx are decoupled, and channels between Tx and Rx are orthogonalized, that is, the MIMO system can be regarded as multi SISO systems which are orthogonalized to each other. Next, as the second step, matching can be done for both Tx and Rx ports bidirectionally in each SISO system based on the theory of conjugate-image impedance, and transmission power for each SISO system can be maximized. Numerical results show that proposed technique acheives the higher channel capacity than that of conventional eigenmode transmission.
