(in English) Towards realization of a future mobile network with super high bit rate and capacity, new radio access networks has been actively investigated. NTT DOCOMO has proposed a new radio access network based on “ phantom cell concept (and its extension concept)”. In the network, SHF (over 6GHz) and/or EHF bands are applied in order to obtain wider bandwidth. In this report, the proposed new radio access network and its technical issues of propagation are described, and also, basic propagation characteristics in 26 GHz which are based on the measurements are clarified.
