Active diodes are widely used for a highly efficient CMOS rectifier in a wireless power transmission system. This type of rectifier can suppress reverse current caused by the comparator delay by shifting its threshold voltage to a minus voltage. However, too much shifts of threshold voltage may cause a decrease in conversion efficiency due to short on time of the rectifier switches. In this study, a hysteresis comparator control scheme that can satisfy these requirements is proposed using 0.18um CMOS process. A power supply voltage control is also investigated and compared with the previous schemes by examining the power supply voltage dependency of the comparator delay. |
