A Disaster Prevention Broadcasting Based on Audio Data Hiding Using Complete Complementary Codes

(in English) It has been shown that data hiding schemes based on complete complementary codes (CCCs) can achieve a high payload and an error-free extraction of the embedded data because of the ideal correlation properties of CCCs. We propose a disaster prevention broadcasting system based on audio data hiding using CCCs. In the proposed system, the information on disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis can be embedded into audio signals like sirens. These information can be processed by mobile terminals and smartphones for faster dissemination of disaster information in the community aiding an effective and safe evacuation. This report shows that the proposed method can extract the embedded data successfully even in the experiments using the real siren sound from a loud speaker.
