The three-dimensional free form deformation (3D-FFD) method was studied for the registration of CT images. The purpose of this study was to establish the computer assisted radiation treatment planning system. In this study, we use non-rigid registration library of the Insight Toolkit (ITK) and compared with MIST (Media Integration Standard Toolkit). The data was assumed several series of 9 patients which were undertake in different time. We calculate anatomical distance for 6 points (lower end of kidney, iliac crest, bifurcation of aorta, upper end of pubic bone) and achieved 3.54mm of mean anatomical error. This deformation method (ITK) is a feasible method for dose distribution deformation in clinical use. |
