| (in English) | The OpenPET, which we have been developing in NIRS, has the potential to enable new PET applications such as image-guided therapy. To achieve this, real-time imaging system is necessary. Recently GPU has been widely used for various real-time processing. GPU has many processing cores and has high theoretical performance. NIRS has proposed real-time imaging system which uses GPU for image reconstruction. However further performance improvement of the image reconstruction is required to realize a human-sized OpenPET. In this research, based on the reconstruction method in the current system, we propose the fast image reconstruction by implementing the GPU-suitable method. Multi-GPU implementation is also investigated and compared to the single-GPU. Results showed that the proposal is faster than the method in the current system. | |
